While a yoga teacher may be able to survive by only teaching yoga classes and workshops, many teachers need to supplement their income with other jobs (Lululemon ain’t cheap, and neither are Yoga Journal conferences).
For some, this means working as a manager at a yoga studio, or trading yoga classes for homemade meals. Many teachers seek training in related, but better-paying, fields like massage or acupuncture. And other yoga teachers continue to work part-time in their previous career, anything from writing to road construction.
But yoga skills are not just for the yoga studio. True yoga entrepreneurs are able to take what they learned in their 200-hour yoga teacher training and make it rich in the business world, including of course, the financial industry.
