Yoda leaning on his staffToday’s guest author, Yoda, an influential teacher, healer and scholar, discusses the role of yoga in our lives.

Currently over nine hundred years old, he has trained seekers for eight centuries and is very powerful with the Prana of the universe. Some of his students include many of today’s most influential practitioners.
__________

Yoga, you seek? Ohhh…Master! Yoda. You seek Yoda!

Ready to learn are you? What know you of ready? For eight hundred years have I trained yogis. My own counsel will I keep on who is to be trained! A yogi must have the deepest commitment, the most serious mind.

Help you I can! Yes! Mm! Your complete attention must have I. Mine! Or help you not will I!

Mine! Mine! Mine! MINE!!!

Get you so big, eating American food of this kind. Chubby around middle are you. Change your ways you must.

Want to leave you do. Ha! Defiance I sense in you. If so powerful you are, why leave?

No, no no, stay and help you I will! Hehe! Much to learn, you still have.

Clear, your mind must be if you are to discover the real path. Yes. A yogi’s strength flows from the Prana. To the Prana, look for guidance. Accept what fate has placed before us.

But beware the dark side. Ignorance of reality, ego, and attachment. Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to ignorance, ignorance leads to attachment, attachment leads to suffering. Listen to Yoda on this, Buddha not.

Destroy the ego, we must. Not afraid you say you are. Practice and you will be. You will be. Do your practice and all is coming.

No! Try not. Do, or do not. There is no try. Don’t believe it you do. That is why you fail.

Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose. Think you already great yogi because handstand can you do. So certain you are. Hear you nothing that I say?

Yoga and life same they are. No different! Only different in your mind. Unlearn what you have learned you must.

Hmm. Control, control. You must learn control. To move with grace, go to the center of your gravity, and find your balance you will. But twisted by the revolved triangle do not become. When you fall, apprentice, catch you I will.

Lost your yoga pants you have. How embarrassing… how embarrassing. Mourn them do not. Miss them do not. Attachment leads to jealousy. The shadow of greed, that is.

Think you Yoda stops teaching, just because his student does not want to hear? Yoda a teacher is. Yoda teaches like drunkards drink. Like killers kill.

Tired I am, rest I must. Go now you do.

Meditate on your future, will I. Strong am I with the Prana, but not that strong. Twilight is upon me, and soon night must fall. That is the way of things… the way of the Prana.
